WHAT: The Junior League of Manatee County (JLMC) is holding a New Member Mixer & Informational Meeting to educate community members on the organization and its mission, and encourage individuals interested in joining the organization how their involvement could benefit the community as a whole. Each woman in attendance will learn how she too can positively impact our local community by becoming a member of JLMC. The mixer is free to attend, and attendees are encouraged to bring a friend.
WHO: Women 21 years of age or older who reside or work in Manatee County, and who are interested in becoming part of a volunteer organization
WHERE: Wine Styles of Lakewood Ranch, 8225 Nature’s Way, Lakewood Ranch
WHEN: Tuesday, July 8 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm
WHY: Each year, the JLMC inducts a new group of members to help plan, organize and execute community fundraisers to support the organization’s many community projects, each benefitting foster kids and children in need throughout Manatee County, including Kids in the Kitchen, a healthy eating initiative, and Junior League Gives Back, an honor-roll incentive program for elementary students.
