“Art in the PARC” Benefits Local Artists with Disabilities
St. Petersburg, FL (June 26, 2014) – PARC announces the 7th Annual “Art in the PARC” will be held Friday, July 18 from 4pm to 7pm at Duke Energy at 299 1st Avenue North in St. Petersburg. This free indoor event features over 1,000 pieces of artwork and jewelry created by PARC artists with developmental disabilities and includes food, refreshments and music. All artwork and jewelry sold that evening directly benefits PARC Art Programs as well as the artists.
Guests will be able to stroll through the Duke Energy lobby which will be filled with custom paintings, jewelry, pottery, fabric sculptures, and art prints which were all created by PARC Artists with assistance from trained instructors and community volunteers. PARC Artists will be on hand to meet guests and discuss their work. PARC’s Art Programs promote each artist’s inclusion at local venues and their contributions to the cultural and economic heart of the community. Artists receive half the proceeds on their work.
