“This American Life” Creator & Host to Perform Solo Show on September 13

(June 23, 2014) – WUSF Public Media is proud to present Ira Glass, creator and host of “This American Life” performing his solo show, “Reinventing Radio: An Evening with Ira Glass” at the Mahaffey Theater on Saturday, September 13. The show gives the audience a behind-the-scenes look at Ira Glass’ wildly popular radio show, “This American Life.” Glass shares interesting stories about how the show is put together, where they find the compelling stories for the show and how he and his staff are constantly pushing broadcast journalism to innovate.
Glass mixes memorable moments from the show, his own narration, combined with pre-taped quotes and music to recreate the sound of the show live on stage. Audiences can expect a night full of Ira Glass’ creativity, humor, wit and wisdom.
