June 20, 2014 BRADENTON, FL – As many as 1,200 Club members from Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County will get the opportunity to experience live theatre thanks to the Evans Family Charitable Fund of the Manatee Community Foundation. The Manatee Performing Arts Center has reserved two showings each of Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. and Children of Eden for the young members of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
“We are truly thankful for this generous gift of the arts from the Evans Family Charitable Fund of the Manatee Community Foundation,” said Valerie Bliss, vice president of development for Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County. “Providing our members with the opportunity to experience, and be inspired by, the magic of a live theatrical performance is priceless.”
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
