Tampa, FL (June 18, 2014) – The Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) has selected Tampa-based Ovations Food Services, a nationally recognized food and beverage service provider, to manage the Museum’s day-to-day food and beverage operations. This new partnership will enable MOSI to focus solely on its non-profit mission – science, technology, engineering, art and math education.
In partnering with Ovations Food Services – which operates at more than 140 public assembly facilities across North America – MOSI will be able to offer its guests the highest quality food and beverage, and benefit from the company’s expertise in food and beverage operations, marketing and the booking of high-caliber events. Ovations Food Services offers an Everything’s Fresh™ approach with the way they prepare and assemble food right in front of guests with ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible.
Ovations will begin a complete remodel of MOSI’s food and beverage operations, which will be newly named the Everything’s Fresh™ Market, scheduled to open in mid-August (rendering attached). Ovations is creating a cart program that will work as a temporary solution to serve fresh food to MOSI guests while the area is under construction over the summer.
An abundance of customer-friendly, healthy options will be available in the Everything’s Fresh™ Market when it opens in August, including fresh salads, panini wraps and a frozen “Yogurt Cave” with six different yogurt flavors and an extensive toppings bar.
In the Tampa area, Ovations Food Services operates at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo, Ruth Eckerd Hall & Capitol Theatre, The Lakeland Center, and consults at the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts. Other Florida venues include EverBank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Pensacola Bayfront Stadium, Space Coast Stadium, the Daytona Beach Ocean Center, Palm Beach County Convention Center and Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens.
“My children grew-up enjoying all that MOSI has to offer,” explained Ken Young, Ovations’ President & Founder. “And now, I get to be a part of bringing the very best in the food industry, on behalf of Ovations, to future generations visiting the museum.”
Ovations Food Services is a subsidiary of the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor, a Comcast company.
