(SARASOTA, Fla., June 18, 2014) Manasota SCORE’s newly elected officers chaired their first chapter meeting on Monday, June 16.
Dennis Zink, Chapter Chair, announced his intention to help the organization increase its Impact, Reach and Relevance by enhancing current successful programs, developing new opportunities and recruiting additional volunteer business educators and mentors.
Zink announced that the locally produced business podcast series Been There, Done That! will soon be available through the national SCORE website, increasing its reach to members of all 320+ chapters and their over 11,000 mentors. He reported that podcast interview transcripts are now uploaded, creating content that can be found by online search engines. Zink plans to utilize electronic communications, such as Skype, to develop episodes based on interviews with business professionals located throughout the nation.
Zink will continue to chair a local CEO Roundtable at the Manatee Chamber of Commerce and to share business news and views through his column in the Herald Tribune’s Business Weekly.
Vice Chair Bob Melberth will focus on improving volunteer satisfaction and making sure that SCORE mentors are aware of the impact their efforts are having on area businesses. He has taken responsibility for the Success Strategies for Business Owners MeetUp workshops, and he will manage and work to improve the Ambassador program, a systematic effort to reach out to and engage with other area organizations.
The meeting included a presentation by Greg Anderson of Digital Image Business Solutions on Outbound and Inbound Digital Marketing.
