Bradenton, FL, June 12, 2014 – CFRE International has announced the most recent class of Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFREs). Among these 5,000 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation is Kristen Theisen, Chief Development Officer, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee.
Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated fundraising achievement and a commitment to service to not-for-profit organizations. They pass a written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.
“I am so proud of Kristen’s accomplishment in obtaining the CFRE designation,” said Maribeth Phillips, CEO of Meals on Wheels PLUS. “This level of fundraising expertise adds strength to our organization. Having a CFRE on staff marks yet another special achievement for Meals on Wheels PLUS, also including the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2013 Nonprofit of the Year Award and the second year of receiving the highest 4-Star Rating from Charity Navigator.”
CFRE International is an independent organization dedicated to upholding the highest standards in ethical philanthropic fundraising through the certification of fundraising executives.
