In its ongoing focus on helping local businesses meet their workforce needs, the Manatee Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Boomerswork to help retain the talent of retired Baby Boomers by matching them with short-term project work with local companies. Boomerswork, headquartered locally, is an online service that matches retired or semi-retired boomer managers and executives with employers seeking experienced talent for part-time and contract assignments.
“There is so much talent within our Baby Boomer generation and local businesses can find incredible experience and expertise,” said Jacki Dezelski, Executive Vice President of the Manatee Chamber. “Our Chamber is focused on collaborations to ensure an adequate workforce today – and tomorrow. Many Baby Boomers are eager to put their talents to work without the commitment of a full-time position. Our partnership with Boomerswork will capitalize on the unique opportunity for short-term and contract projects within local companies.”
“The Manatee Chamber is the ideal partner as we build the local success story that sets the stage for a national rollout,” said Tim Hearon, CEO of Boomerswork. “Our missions are aligned in strengthening the community on both an individual and corporate level by getting some of the most experienced and talented people in the country engaged with local companies. We’re honored to be in partnership.”
