Gov. Rick Scott recently announced the appointment of Marilyn Pearson-Adams and Robin Schneider to the District Board of Trustees (DBoT) for Pasco-Hernando State College.
Marilyn Pearson-Adams, of Brooksville, is the president of Century 21 Alliance Realty and a director with the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and previously served as a board member of the Pasco Hernando Workforce Board. Pearson-Adams has served on several professional committees and organizations, and holds relevant real estate industry certifications. She succeeds John DiRienzo, who served on the DBoT since July 2009.
Robin Schneider, of Spring Hill, is marketing coordinator at Medical Center of Trinity. She previously served as the president of the Rotary Club of Spring Hill Central. She is a 2001 graduate of Leadership Pasco and a 2003 graduate of Leadership Hernando. Schneider has more than 14 years of experience in health care marketing and has served on the board of directors of the American Cancer Society. She succeeds Jeanne Gavish, who served on the DBoT since April of 1999.
“We are very pleased by the appointments of Ms. Pearson-Adams and Ms. Schneider to the PHSC District Board of Trustees,” said Katherine M. Johnson, Ed.D., PHSC president. “We welcome the leadership of our new board members, but also appreciate the dedicated service of Mr. DiRienzo and Ms. Gavish.”
Board terms for both Pearson-Adams and Schneider run from June 4, 2014 to May 31, 2017. The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
