June 5, 2014 Summer is for having fun, making new friends and discovering new adventures. The City of Brooksville’s Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce its 2014 Summer Camp Schedule. This year’s camp’s includes:
June 9-August 15
Y Adventure Camp for children and teens, where each day is truly an adventure as kids experience indoor and outdoor games, field trips and activities that will help them grow in spirit, mind and body! The YMCA gives young people the tools to enjoy a great summer of fun and friendships in a positive, safe environment. Located at the Jerome Brown Community Center, 99 Jerome Brown Place; Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 6pm; $95.00 a week, scholarships available.
June 30-July 3; July 7-July 11 and July 28-August 1
The First Tee of Brooksville/Life Skills for children 7-14 years of age. Learn The First Tee’s Nine Core Values through the game of golf. Work on basic life/golf skills and mechanics of putting, chipping, driving and golf course etiquette. Located at the Quarry Golf Course, 800 John Gary Grubbs Boulevard; Monday through Friday, 9am to 12pm; $60.00 a week.
Softball Camp for girls 7-14 years of age. Join HHS Leopard Softball standout players and Head Coach Kevin Bittinger for a week-long camp filled softball, drills and fundamentals. Campers will complete daily drills of fielding, catching, throwing, batting and pitching. Located at Tom Varn Park, 301 Darby Lane; Monday through Friday, 9am to 12pm; $65.00 per participant.
