New Principal and Associate Appointed
Jacksonville, FL – Golder Associates has announced the 2014 Principal and Associate appointments. Appointment to the position of Principal or Associate within Golder requires a combination of peer acceptance and primary ownership, and indicates that these individuals are recognized as leaders with a commitment to the core values of the company, including technical excellence and innovation, quality service, ethical business practices, mentoring, Health & Safety, and sustainability. The Florida Operations are pleased to announce that Ms. Isabel Johnson has been appointed a Principal of the firm and Mr. Tom Yonge has been appointed an Associate.
Ms. Isabel Johnson’s appointment to Principal reflects increasing challenging and varied responsibilities within Golder. She has been with Golder since 1996, and is a past Ecology Group Manager in Gainesville. She was selected to the Board of Directors in 2002 through 2004, and became the Gainesville Office Manager in 2008. Since 2011, Isabel has been the NextEra Key Account Sponsor and is involved in interesting and challenging technical work that includes being a Project Manager for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in Africa (Guinea-Bissau). Ms. Johnson earned her Master of Science degree in Marine Science from the University of West Florida and Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Florida.
Mr. Tom Yonge brings a fresh perspective to Golder, not only through his technical skills, but also his leadership ability. As the Practice Group Leader for the Engineering and Project Development team, he is actively assisting to develop other professionals in the Florida Operations and always operates with the goal of providing the best service team possible, utilizing resources across Golder as necessary to meet project requirements. With his progression to more responsibilities and higher positions, he embraced the principles of the Principal and Associate system and acted like an Associate with respect to conducting his practice prior to his appointment. Tom is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida.
