On March 31 2014, Owner of Bee Ridge Florist and All Event Rental purchased old Livingston’s pool hall building on 7111 South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. His plan is to transform the abandoned building into what will be Sarasota’s premier event venue with hosting capacity of over 1000 people.
Carl Wise owns and operates a floral and event rental shop located on 2048 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota – Bee Ridge Florist and All Event Rental & Design. While working directly with event planners, designers, brides and non-profit groups the common question of where to accommodate large scale events was unanswered. The idea clicked, the thought to open a venue in Sarasota Florida with prestigious interior design and adequate serving space for large events would bring Sarasota to a leading event destination. Thus, The Devyn was born.
The Devyn is currently under construction for a transforming remodeling project. The renovation project will consist of French door installation, renovation of the high ceilings, installing polished concrete and hardwood flooring, exposed brick accents for a rustic feel, and new technology integration. The Devyn will be a fully customizable space from colors, to sound to lighting and décor! Catering, hotel, floral and décor packages will be available, but not required for booking the space. The idea is that our clients can make the event their own in all ways – celebrating the fact that each event comes with a different vision.
Inside the 20,000 Square- foot building, The Devyn will be divided into four rooms, The Arvon Room, The Amanda Room, The Alexandria Ballroom and The Carlisle. Each space can hold from 65-425 people with full customizable interior design in each space. This is no ordinary venue, and will prove to be the premier and most sought after event space in Sarasota. We welcome all events from corporate lunches to private affairs and of course weddings.
Construction will be completed in June of 2014 and we are already booking events into 2015. Please call or email to receive a copy of the renderings of the space to get an idea of the feel we are going for as well as the aesthetic of The Devyn.
