May 6, 2014 (Dunedin, Fla.) – Achieva Credit Union presented a $10,000 check to the Hillsborough Education Foundation to kick off a multi-year beneficiary partnership. The donation marks the largest gift to date in an ongoing relationship between Achieva and the Education Foundation.
“We are thrilled to have Achieva on board as a growing partner,” said Phil Jones, president of the Hillsborough Education Foundation. “Achieva is an exceptional company with a long history of support for education. We appreciate their vote of confidence in us and are pleased to be a beneficiary of their great efforts to make a difference in Tampa Bay. We hope we can continue this partnership for many years to come.”
Each year, Achieva holds several family-friendly fundraiser events to raise money for local area classrooms in the nine major counties the credit union currently serves: Charlotte, Collier, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota. This recent gift to the Hillsborough Education Foundation was part of those funds.
“The Hillsborough Education Foundation is doing phenomenal work in the Tampa area and we are honored to partner with them”, said Gary Regoli, President/CEO of Achieva. “More than 75 years ago, Achieva started as a teacher’s credit union, and we consider it an integral part of our overall mission to continue supporting local schools and educators in the areas we serve.”
