Jackson brings experience in development and business management to Colliers
TAMPA, Fla. (April 29, 2014) – Colliers International Tampa Bay has hired John Jackson as an Industrial Services broker, bringing experience in site acquisition and development, project management, and business ownership to the team.
Jackson has over 10 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, most recently as the CEO and owner of BlueForge, LLC, a full-service general contracting, construction management, and design/build service provider. Prior to that, he was the CEO and owner of Earthworks Land Development, Inc., which provided site development services in Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Charlotte counties.
In Jackson’s past roles, he has been responsible for commercial site development projects totaling more than 2,400 acres in the Tampa Bay area.
“John’s experience in various facets of the industry makes him an excellent addition to the Colliers team,” said Lee Arnold, CEO of Colliers International Tampa Bay, Central and Southwest Florida.
“His diverse real estate expertise and management skills add value to Colliers, as do his business relationships.”
In his new role at Colliers, Jackson partners with Jan Boltres, CCIM, Managing Director of Industrial Services, and specializes primarily in the leasing and sales of industrial properties, with a concentration on value-add projects.
“John has a unique perspective into the industry from a development standpoint, which is a big part of our business, correlating with what we do on a day-to-day basis,” said Boltres. “John’s prior experience has made him uniquely qualified to immediately step into a valuable role in commercial brokerage.”
Jackson graduated from University of Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in business management and finance and received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado. He served as a Captain in the United States Army, including wartime service during Desert Storm.
Jackson’s community involvement includes the Bailey Family Foundation scholarship committee, which provides financial assistance to students based on academics, financial need and community involvement, and assistance with Meals on Wheels, Vinoy Club, Wounded Warriors Project, and Special Olympics.
