|Anna Maria Island Shop Partners with Patagonia to Advocate Conservation
APRIL 25, 2014 – Steve Traves, owner of AMI Outfitters in Anna Maria (amioutfitters.com) and board member of Sarasota Bay Watch (sarasotabaywatch.org) has announced Patagonia Advocate Weeks, April 26 to May 11.
As a dealer of Patagonia gear and apparel, Traves is partnering with the eco-conscious retailer in their annual campaign to advocate conservation. The partnership will donate $10 to Sarasota Bay Watch for every pair of Patagonia men’s and women’s shoes purchased at AMI Outfitters during the two-week period. Donations will fund projects to protect Sarasota Bay’s ecosystem.
As a gift with each Patagonia footwear purchase, AMI Outfitters’ customers will receive a free music download card for an exclusive album of 41 artists supporting 1% For The Planet (onepercentfortheplanet.org), the global alliance of conservation advocates founded by Patagonia’s legendary leader, Yvon Chouinard.
Since 2002, 1% For The Planet member businesses have been contributing at least one percent of their annual revenue to environmental causes, totaling $20 million annually for more than 3,300 conservation non-profits around the world.
