Tampa, Fla. – April 22, 2014 – Equality Florida will honor Carlton Fields Jorden Burt Chief Operating Officer, Anastasia C. Hiotis, and the firm at-large, with the Voice for Equality award and Equality Means Business award, respectively, on May 3, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Mahaffey Theatre, 400 1st Street South, St. Petersburg, Fla.
Hiotis will receive the Voice of Equality award in recognition of her years of dedication to securing equality for the LGBT community. As COO of Carlton Fields Jorden Burt since 2001, she has lent her talent, passion, and business leadership skills to Equality Florida. Hiotis also serves in many leadership roles throughout the state and is considered a ‘true champion’ to the business and human rights of LGBT Floridians. She is co-chair of Equality Florida’s Steering Committee for its St. Petersburg Gala.
At Carlton Fields Jorden Burt, Hiotis oversees the core business functions of the firm, which are organized into the following areas: Marketing and Client Development, Finance, Information Systems, Legal Talent Management, Human Resources, and Office Operations. She has been with the firm since 1992 and previously served as Director of Office Operations and Human Resources.
