SARASOTA, Florida (April 21, 2014) — Dr. Ken Kaufman of Sarasota Sports Medicine is hosting a seminar on Shoulder Strengthening and Injury Prevention on Saturday, April 26, 20014 from 10am to 12pm at Extra Innings, 717 Cattlemen Road.
Dr. Kaufman, Sarasota’s Team Chiropractor for the Baltimore Orioles and the director of Sarasota Sports Medicine at Extra Innings will discuss the proper exercises for the Baseball/Softball Athlete, how to reduce injury with flexibility and warm-up, core strengthening exercises and sports nutrition for optimum performance. This clinic targets youths as there is a dramatic increase in overuse injuries among our youth today.
“Unfortunately, injuries requiring surgery are not uncommon in young athletes.
