“Night at the Copa” is one of two major fundraisers hosted by the Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring in 2014.
Join employees, friends and supporters of the Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring as they are transported back to Old Havana, a tropical Las Vegas with glittering casinos and passionate Latin dances. Back to a time and place when Ernest Hemingway had a favorite stool at the bar of the La Floridita, the cradle of the daiquiri cocktail. It was a time of delectable food, smooth rum and the finest cigars, all backed by a sexy conga beat.
All the Sights & Sounds of Old Havana will be yours!
The rhythm is gonna get you when Tampa’s own Freddy Montes y Su Son bangs out the Caribbean beat with his famous authentic Cuban orchestra. Savor the salsa, cha-cha and rumba while the World’s Mambo Champion Ana Llorente and her ensemble offer a moving salute to the best Cuban music and dance.
A silent auction will be held on site with 100-plus items up for bid including exotic Caribbean and European vacations, autographed memorabilia from musicians like The Rolling Stones and athletes like Muhammad Ali, whale watching adventures, wine country excursions, fishing trips and tickets to the 2015 Masters Golf Tournament.
One Night Only! Return to America’s favorite 1940’s Caribbean playground!
The Florida Medical Clinic Foundation of Caring “Night at the Copa” is taking place on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the TPepin Hospitality Centre, 4121 N 50th St, Tampa, FL 33610.
