WHERE THERE’S A HEART, THERE’S A SOUL
Third Annual Event to Benefit the Housing & Education Alliance
Tampa, FL – The Housing & Education Alliance will pay tribute to both the unsung heroes and community champions of housing during the organization’s third annual HEART Awards taking place on Thursday April 17, 2014 from 6-9 pm at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. Led by a Lissette Campos of ABC Action News, a soulful celebration of achievement will be at the heart of this dinner event that will feature individual success stories from the organizations’ constituents as well as the recipients of the awards in the following categories: Collaboration, Housing, Finance, Real Estate, Homelessness, Education, Volunteerism and Leadership.
In addition to the awards, this year’s event theme – Heart & Soul – will be heralded by a special performance by the Distinguished Men of Brass, a Tampa-based, show stopping, horn blowing, drum beating, high stepping, precision choreographed band that blew away the judges on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and now travel the globe opening for major events, Fortune 500 companies and celebrities from Tom Cruise to Hugh Jackman. HEA is also proud to welcome Zixta Martinez, Associate Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as the event’s featured speaker. As the CFPB has jurisdiction over nearly all consumer financial activities, including credit issuance, debt buying and debt collection, and Ms. Martinez’s appearance is particularly appropriate and quite an honor for this event and its’ guests.
The HEART Awards has quickly become recognized as the premier event in Tampa Bay recognizing individuals and organizations that support housing education, development, and financing for first-time homeowners or home owners at risk. Net proceeds from the 2014 HEART (H = housing E = education A = alliance R = residential T = triumph) Awards will support the Housing & Education Alliance and the nonprofit organizations’ year-round efforts to provide and sustain homeownership opportunities through services in homebuyer education, counseling, lending and development.
Tickets for the April 17th awards dinner range from $125 per person to $2,000 for a table of 10. To make reservations or for more information on the Housing & Education Alliance, award nominations or sponsorship of the HEART Awards, please visit myhomeamerica.org or call 813-932-4663.
