Tampa, Florida (April 8, 2014) – Town & Country Hospital, an HCA facility and member of its West Florida Division, announced the appointment of Jake Fisher as CEO.
Mr. Fisher comes to Town & Country Hospital from Largo Medical Center where he served as Chief Operating Officer of the 422 bed, two-campus teaching hospital.
Mr. Fisher holds an MBA degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In his short time as CEO he has already sparked a variety of improvements and upgrades such as:
· Single site instrumentation for the da Vinci SI Robotic Surgery System
· Upgrading ICU monitoring and establishing a 16 bed progressive care unit
· Adding telemetry and other imaging equipment
· Adding a new nuclear medicine camera and two ultrasound units
The significant system-wide investments also include upgrades in the infrastructure of the facility such as air handling units, fire alarm systems and generator upgrades. There are also considerable changes in the IT system converting Town & Country’s EMR (Electronic Medical Record) to the HCA Meditech system.
In addition, Town & Country Hospital will seek accreditation from The Joint Commission, which is the largest accrediting body for healthcare organizations in the nation. Town & Country is currently accredited by DNV Healthcare.
