TAMPA, FL – The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce promises the 9th Annual Taste of South Tampa will be their biggest event yet. Presented by Older & Lundy Family Law, the Taste of South Tampa is the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s signature annual event. On Sunday, April 13th, Hyde Park Village will be transformed into an outdoor festival offering live music, family friendly activities and an array of delicious food samples from various local restaurants.
The chamber’s president, Kelly Flannery, said, “We are thrilled to have so many restaurants return again this year including last year’s winner, GrillSmith, as well as new additions like Anaar Bar & Grill, Kona Grill and Alessi Bakeries. For the first time this year, the event will also feature local breweries, wineries and distilleries. With over 40 food and beverage options at the event, there is truly something for everyone and the inclusive price gives attendees the opportunity to try a little bit of everything.”
The family friendly event will also feature a Kids Zone with complimentary face painting, Lil Mac Fire Truck and other fun activities. The new Pet Zone will include treats and wading pools for the pups. A portion of the ticket sales from this year’s event will benefit Metropolitan Ministries. Sponsors of the event include Tampa Bay Times, Breezin Entertainment, TECO, Veterinary Medical Center & Urgent Pet Care of South Tampa, Yelp, Clear Channel Outdoor and Verizon. Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will be in attendance to kick off the event and local personality Jack Harris will emcee.
The ticket price is all inclusive and includes: Unlimited food and beverage samples, live entertainment, access to activities in the Kid and Pet Zones, give-aways from business exhibitors and voting for the “Best of South Tampa” awards. Early bird discounted ticket prices are available online at www.TasteofSouthTampa.com until April 11th. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door – $45 General Admission, $30 for Military, Kids under 10 are free.
The event will also feature a food drive for Metropolitan Ministries. For each non-perishable food item donated, attendees will receive an entry into a drawing for prizes from participating restaurants.
