“We found there is a large market for secondhand books in our area and our annual Bookapalooza is a great opportunity for book lovers to purchase valuable books at a fantastic value,” said Bob Rosinsky, president & CEO of Goodwill Manasota.
Goodwill Manasota diverted more than 1.3 million pounds of books from area landfills in 2013 and expects to recycle even more books as the organization expands. All proceeds from the book sale go to support Goodwill’s mission of providing career services and job placement and training to the community with a focus on those with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
