(SPRING HILL, FLORIDA) – What could be more fun than books & food? The Hernando County Public Library System invites you to enter our Eat Your Words: Edible Book Contest where you don’t need to be a food artist to enter or win! Simply make and bring an edible creation based on your favorite book! Edible books can look like a book in form and shape, be inspired by a book or author, be a pun of a book title, refer to a book character, reproduce a book cover, or just have something to do with books in general. Entries may be made from anything that is edible as long as it can sit out for an hour or two without melting or turning bad. All entries should be family friendly. For inspiration, check out our Edible Books Board on Pinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/hernandolibrary/edible-books/
To enter the contest, please register by April 14. Entry forms are available online through the Library’s website and are also available at all Library Branch locations. Friends of the Library Bookstore gift certificates will be awarded to the winning entries in contest categories. Families and groups will receive one gift certificate as a group. Limit of one entry per person or group.
Eat Your Words: The Edible Book Contest will take place on Saturday, April 19, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Spring Hill Branch Library, located at 9220 Spring Hill Drive. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hernando County, Inc.
