| Starting Sunday, April 6th, a new outdoor weekly farmers market will be coming to Midtown. Deuces Live will unveil the “Sunday Market on the Deuces” every Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on 22nd Street South and Ninth Avenue South.
The market will feature live entertainment every week and a unique array of vendors offering home baked goods, fresh produce, fruit, flowers, plants, seafood and meats, arts and fine crafts, food trucks and more. Rain or shine, the new “Sunday Market on the Deuces” will become a shopping and economic destination in Midtown for all of St. Petersburg that reflects what is distinctive about the community, while serving its everyday shopping needs.
“I hope you’ll join me in welcoming the new ‘Sunday Market on the Deuces.’ We’re starting a wonderful new weekly tradition in Midtown,” said Mayor Rick Kriseman. “Please come support our newest market starting this Sunday. I look forward to seeing you there.”
Designated as a Florida Main Street Community in 2001, Deuces Live is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization focused on revitalizing the historic commercial district along 22nd Street South by leveraging local assets—from cultural or architectural heritage to local enterprises and community pride. As this historic commercial district revitalizes, the Deuces is committed to ensuring that local, community based entrepreneurs have an opportunity to take advantage of the influx of both economic and human capital and fulfill their goal of economic stability. “Sunday Market on the Deuces” will focus on locally owned and operated businesses which highlight the best of local foods, crafts, music, heritage and culture.
Vendor booths are now available at a low rate of $60 for four weeks (one month). Vendors are required to register and provide their own tent.
