What: Park Ranger Nature Educational Programs
When: Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m. and 12 noon (for one hour)
Where: Lettuce Lake Park, 6920 E. Fletcher Ave in Tampa (inside visitor center)
Cost: $2 per vehicle, up to eight people per car/park entry fee. Program cost is $5 per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult; parents/guardians are free. Adults without children may join in for $5 – we’re all kids at heart!

What: Area Equestrian Special Olympics
When: Friday, April 4from 5 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Bakas Equestrian Center, 1150 Whisper Lake Trail in Tampa
Hillsborough County Special Olympics, as well as organizations from Pasco and Hernando Counties, will compete in a variety of equestrian events including: English and Western equitation, dressage, speed events, trail course, showmanship and drill teams. What: Indoor Pickleball Championships
When: Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: All People’s Life Center, 6105 E. Sligh Ave in Tampa
Age: Age 50 and older
Cost: $25 for first event ($10 for second event)
USA Pickleball Association Sanctioned Indoor Pickleball Championships will include Women’s Doubles on Thursday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by Men’s Doubles from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mixed Doubles will play on Friday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 pm. This tournament is for players ages 50 and older, all ranked by ability. All proceeds will benefit the Strongdogs Wheelchair Basketball Team.
