|Pasco County, Florida — If you want to connect with business and community leaders in Pasco County, the place to do it is at the 12th Annual NetFest, hosted by Pasco Economic Development Council, Inc. on Thursday, April 3 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Starkey Ranch in Odessa. NetFest, short for “Networking Festival”, is one of Pasco’s largest business networking events and is attended by a “Who’s Who of Pasco County,” not to mention business and community leaders from around Tampa Bay.
“Pasco County development is starting to take flight, and this is an opportunity to meet the people who are in the forefront,” said John Hagen, Pasco EDC President/CEO. “If you want to do business in Pasco County, or with Pasco County companies, you’ll want to attend NetFest.”
The event was created to give business executives, real estate developers and community leaders a chance to connect in an informal setting without speeches or award ceremonies. The first NetFest was held in 2002 at Starkey Ranch and included a western theme. The yearly event has continued the western theme complete with a barbeque buffet, a sponsor-only chili cook-off, country music, and a commemorative event bandanna.
In 2013, more than 250 people gathered at Starkey Ranch for the big event attended by leaders in business, real estate, land development, K-12, higher education, community nonprofits as well as County Commissioners and other elected officials. Seven companies participated in the chili cook-off, and Coastal Design Consultants, Inc., took home the trophy for Pasco’s Best Chili.
