|2014 Annual Tea Benefit un Énorme Succès!
LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL (March 20th 2014) – On Thursday March 20st, 2014 CommunityHaven for Adults and Children with Disabilities, Inc. hosted their annual Tea at one of John Cannon’s signature model homes—the Akarra II located at 16019 Topsail Terrace in the Vineyards at the Lake Club in Lakewood Ranch. Over 75 attendees came dressed in their finest Paris-inspired attire and enjoyed mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres, chocolate, tea, champagne, and tempting desserts by Community Haven’s Heavenly Haven Bakery while listening to soft sounds of Early Music performed by the Sarasota Earlye Musicke Consort and enjoyed a very special appearance by Community Haven’s Selby Preschool petits singing traditional French nursery songs. Caricature artist, Aggie Derocher provided portrait drawings to the delight of guests. A special thank you to the sponsors who provided door prizes or generous financial gifts for the event include McKibbon Hotel Management Group, Sun Hydraulics, John Cannon Homes, Total Wine, Fresh Market, Josey’s Posey’s, Edin Salon, Puttin’ on the Ritz Salon, Morton’s Market, First Watch Restaurant, BJ’s Wholesale Club, and Costco. All donations will be matched by McKibbon Hotel Management Group to benefit Community Haven now celebrating its 60th year of empowering independence and inclusion in all aspects of our community for children, teenagers, and adults with socialization, housing, fitness, vocational training, job placement, and recreation.

Annually, 700+ children, teens, and adults with physical and developmental disabilities are served.
