Matthew B. Mayper, a shareholder with the law firm of Fergeson, Skipper, Shaw, Keyser, Baron & Tirabassi, P.A., has joined the Board of Trustees for the Pines of Sarasota Foundation. He has served the community for many years through his work with various guardianship, elder law, and Hospice organizations. Mayper stated he is pleased to be working with the Foundation’s board and leadership team to help raise funds and promote the outstanding care Pines of Sarasota provides for our senior population.
Mayper is a Florida board certified tax lawyer with an advanced law degree in taxation. His areas of practice include taxation, business law, guardianship administration, elder law, estate planning, and estate and trust administration. He is authorized to practice law before all local and state courts in Florida, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He is a Past Chair of the Sarasota County Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Probate Section, a Past President of the Florida State Guardianship Association, and served on the Board of Trustees for Tidewell Hospice for seven years. Mayper has also been a licensed Florida certified public accountant for over 25 years.
