Tampa, FL (March 6, 2013) – Tampa Bay WaVE, a non-profit that helps entrepreneurs turn ideas into growing technology ventures in Tampa Bay, is succeeding in its mission. Technology start-ups going through the accelerator program are technical, administrative and political support, receiving funding and adding jobs.
The latest FirstWaVE Accelerator program clients include:
LilyPad Solutions: LilyPad is filling a huge void in salesforce automation by filling the gap between sales training and the existing sales customer resource management (CRM) solutions being used today. They are blending gamification, data collection, cloud, social and coaching features to create unique and exciting platform.
WeVue: WeVue allows anyone to crowdsource pictures and videos from events and then turn that content into a WeVue, a movie with a soundtrack made from crowdsourced content.
Nerdbet: Nerdbet.net is an eSports Entertainment website specializing in Fantasy Games. ESports (consisting of over 45 million fans globally). Nerdbet will add entertainment value to the thousands of live esporting events that happen yearly; just as Fantasy Football adds entertainment value to the National Football League. By providing free Fantasy games and services, along with paid Fantasy games and services, we hope to acquire and entertain millions of users worldwide.
Space Shifter: Space Shifter is an online marketplace for commercial real estate similar to the residential MLS (Realtor.com). It is unique due to the lack of current alternatives for marketing commercial real estate and that it is built by the customers.

FirstWaVE offers a wide variety of benefits to startups in all phases of development, including bootcamps and workshops by local entrepreneurs and business executives, dedicated mentors, opportunities to meet with investors, access to a team of dedicated student interns and discounted professional services. Clients also have access to coworking and office space within the FirstWaVE Venture Center, located in Tampa Bay WaVE’s headquarters on the second floor of Rivergate Tower in downtown Tampa.
