|Learning, networking and the announcement of a trip to Cuba were just a few highlights of the Summit.
Tampa Bay, FL – March 5, 2014 – The Tampa Bay International Business Council (TBIBC) chalked up another successful event that brought together area business professionals for a day of learning about global business opportunities. The Scandinavian Trade Association Tampa Bay was proud to join a long list of impressive organizations in sponsoring TBIBC’s day-long Mardi Gras themed event. In addition to a full day of themed food and entertainment, attendees enjoyed an awards ceremony, acclaimed speakers, a panel discussion and both formal and informal networking opportunities.TBIBC and its members proudly support diversity and were honored to present the LLC Diversity Award to Brighthouse Networks; the Business Diversity Award to Jagged Peak; and the Individual Award to Sunny Duann.

Grant Petersen, president of the TBIBC, made the announcement that a trip from Tampa to Cuba is being organized for Tampa Bay’s professionals and entrepreneurs to meet Cuba’s new breed of entrepreneurs. The date for the licensed 5-day people2people program is November 5 through November 9, 2014. The 5-day trip has an aggressive itinerary filled with cultural activities to provide participants the richest glimpse of all aspects of Cuba’s diverse culture and business climate.
Cuba is a country that is rich in history, full of diverse cultures, and loaded with natural beauty. And today, it is home to a new breed of entrepreneurs who are eager to meet with professionals and business people from other cultures.
