Senior Investment Advisor Peter Bartys closed the sale of the Carlyn Estates Mobile Home Park in Palmetto for $5,280,000. This park consisted of 111 mobile home spaces with a club house, plus a manager’s home. The Sellers; Big Lake Estates and Elio & Sue Covelli of Kenosha, Wisconsin were represented by Bartys, while the Buyers, Park Village, LLC of San Francisco, California were represented Mike Marcu of Insite Investment Realty out of Newport Beach. The Buyer partly funded the Purchase with 1031 Exchange proceeds from Sale of Buyer’s Property in California. Peter Bartys also represented the Sellers when they purchased the Park in 2005. This park is “A well located senior tenant park with good upside and competitive rents”, says Bartys.
Senior Investment Advisor, Gail Bowden, just completed a $10 Million commercial real estate transaction also in Manatee County, Florida. Bowden brought the out-of-state Buyer to the Bradenton-Sarasota area to see the 16 building industrial portfolio of properties. Mountain Manor, Inc., based out of Luray, Virginia, purchased the 245,000 square foot portfolio, owned by the VanDerNoord family of Bradenton, in a 1031 Exchange. Bowden, who was Sperry Van Ness® Commercial Advisory Group’s 2013 Advisor of the Year by closing over $20 Million in transactions, along with fellow Sperry Van Ness® Commercial Advisory Group member Bruce Dilges, will be handling the leasing of the portfolio for the new owner.
