“I am pleased to be working with Sarasota and Manatee county residents and the Institute for the Ages for feedback on The EyeOn App 2.0,” states Dave Cardell who developed EyeOn App. “The State of Georgia will be using this version to help their residents stay independent; but capturing valuable feedback from local users through the Institute will allow me to improve the next version to a level that would otherwise be difficult to achieve.”
The Institute for the Ages, an education and research center focused on connecting innovators with the authentic voices of older adults, is currently seeking individuals interested in testing the new iPhone/iPad application.”I designed this simple tool for older adults who live alone and want to maintain their independence with peace of mind,” says Cardell. “EyeOn App checks in when you want it to and let’s adult children/caregivers know when you don’t respond.”
EyeOn App’s developer, Dave Cardell, will give a demonstration at the information session on March 18 on how the app works and answer any questions potential participants may have. Members of the Institute’s Technology and Aging Circle will be present to aid users in downloading and installing the application. All information session attendees can enjoy complimentary coffee and donuts. Those who participate in the 3-week study will be granted a lifetime subscription to EyeOn App.
