The Chamber’s Eastside Business Networking Group, in partnership with, Century 21 Alliance Realty- Marilyn Pearson Adams, brought the magic of the holidays to the Ridge Manor community during the 6th Annual Light Up Ridge Manor event held in December. The event raised $1,000 to benefit the Chamber’s Education Training Association (CETA).
In accordance with CETA’s mission, these proceeds are being presented to Eastside Elementary School to further the expansion of their Media Center. The money will be used to purchase new books and other supplies needed to provide a quality reading and literature education to more than 450 students.
Eastside Elementary School focuses on comprehensive reading programs designed to prepare children kindergarten through fifth grade for the FCAT exam. The school’s Media Center provides students with the books, computers and guidance needed to improve their reading and writing scores.
Receiving the $1,000 check is Eastside Elementary School Principal, Mary LeDoux.
