|Sarasota, FL (March 3, 2014) – Carats Fine Jewelryand Watches of Sarasota has proudly sponsored a jewelry design contest andauction to benefit Girls Incorporated of Sarasota County. The contest, has allowed local girlsto learn about the jewelry design process, from conception to production, and offeredthe winner an opportunity to see her original jewelry design be transformed toa unique, wearable, work-of-art. Thecontest will culminate in a public auction of the winning pendant at the Caratsshowroom, on March 11, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. All proceeds from the sale of the pendant will help to fund Girls, Inc.
TheSarasota chapter of Girls, Inc. has been serving the community since 1976, “Girls, Inc. is so fortunate to have a businesspartner like Carats Fine Jewelry who believes in the power of girls. The winner has actually taken her design tocreation with our jeweler for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experienceall the stages of fine jewelry creation. GregTwarowski, owner of Carats, has been an active community supporter for a numberof years. His support of Girls Incorporated began in 2012. “Our jewelry design contest offers both anexciting opportunity for young girls to take part in the creative process ofjewelry design, as well as a wonderful way for the community to support avaluable local organization,” says Greg Twarowski.
