Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough Counties, Florida – (February 27, 2014) Medical Center of Trinity announces the appointment of Kenneth West as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. West comes to Medical Center of Trinity from Chippenham/Johnson Willis Medical Center, a two hospital system of 758 beds in Richmond, Virginia, where he served as Associate Chief Operating Officer. His responsibilities included radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, biomed, wound care, food service and neurosciences for the two campus system.
Mr. West’s background has prepared him well for the growth opportunities he will help address at Medical Center of Trinity. Mr. West joined HCA in 2008 as an administrative resident at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, a new hospital built in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The hospital was under construction when he was hired and he led the process for hiring 40 leaders, 350 clinical staff and 70 physicians. During his career he has served as an Administrative Resident, Assistant Administrator, Associate Chief Operating Office and Co-Ethics and Compliance Officer.
Mr. West received his BS degree from Louisiana State University and his Masters degree in health systems administration from Georgetown University. He attended Georgetown University as an HCA Corris Boyd Scholar.
