Stand-Up Comedy Show and More at The Mahaffey Friday, April 18
ST. PETERSBURG, FL (Feb. 25, 2014) – Comedian and underwear designer Rhonda Shear and some of her best friends and special guests will present the “world’s funniest” and most fun Pajama Party at The Mahaffey Theater Friday, April 18 at 8 p.m. They invite everyone (ladies and gentlemen) to participate by wearing their favorite PJs/sleepwear (one-piecers with footies, baby dolls, oversized T-shirts and the plaid flannels).
Theater-goers will enjoy hilarious stand-up from a group of talented talkers, signature drinks, a pre-show fashion event, a fabulous fashion showcase and a silent auction benefitting Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts. Guests have a chance to win amazing prizes (for best dressed PJs and other categories).
Tickets are $35 and $50 and go on sale Friday, Feb. 28 at noon.
Host Rhonda Shear is the award-winning president of Shear Enterprises, LLC and the designer behind Rhonda Shear Intimates including the world-famous “Ahh Bra.” No stranger to the stage, Ms. Shear has a successful career in Hollywood as hostess of USA: Up all Night and acted in countless sit-coms, talk shows and movies.

Carole Montgomery: A respected veteran of the stand-up comedy scene nationwide, Ms. Montgomery has more than two dozen television credits, has headlined clubs and colleges across the United States and starred in two Las Vegas Production shows (and seen by more than five million people). She is an accomplished director and producer organizing shows for Armed Forces Entertainment and has performed for troops around the world.
Ludo Vika: The irreverent, talented, hilarious, outspoken and dynamic Ms. Vika won the title of “America’s First Bilingual Comic” at the Utah Laugh Off Festival and has opened for some of the biggest comedy performers of our time. A popular character in several television series, Ms. Vika produced and hosted a variety comedy show at The World Famous Comedy Store – Sex, Nachos and Men – and The Nasty Divas of Comedy at The Ha Ha Comedy Club, Universal City, bringing to life the sexy antics of some of her unforgettable characters.
Jay Hewlett: Your “average Jay,” it’s Jay Hewlett from BET Comic View, Sundance and Cannes Film Festival. Mr. Hewlett regularly performs stand-up in Los Angeles at the Comedy Store, The Improv and the Ice House and also plays clubs and colleges around the country. You’ve seen him on The Showtime Comedy Club Network as Phil the Photographer, on NBC’s California Dreams, in Touchstone Pictures Krippendorf’s Tribe, the independent movie Mexican Sky and Fox Searchlight’s The Act.
Trish Keating: One part social satire, two parts personal pain and most parts attitude is Ms. Keating’s style of comedy. She has been nominated for a 2013 STAR Award for Best Supporting Actress in Brighton Beach Memoirs at the Francis Wilson Theater. Ms. Keating was a divisional semi-finalist for the Boston Comedy Festival and appeared in the Tampa Bay Comedy Festival and The Teacher’s Lounge Comedy Show series at the Tampa Improv. While not performing onstage, she directs full-length theatrical productions and coaches acting and improv.
The comedy show is presented by Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts.
