(SARASOTA, Fla., February 25, 2014) The Sarasota Music Club is currently accepting applications for its 2014 Music Scholarship Program.
This year’s awards program is open to graduating high school seniors who reside in Sarasota or Manatee County and plan to major in music or music education at a university or college in the fall of 2014. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,000 and must be used for the recipient’s college education.
Applications must be submitted and received by March 18, 2014. Auditions require two pieces of music of contrasting styles and from different historical periods. They will be held Friday, March 28, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Booker High School, 3201 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota.

The Sarasota Music Club was founded in 1930 to promote music appreciation, study and performance.
