Downtown Partnership program walkers dance their way through the district
Tampa, Florida (February 19, 2014) – Tampa Downtown Partnership, with the help of Downtown YMCA and The Urban Conga, put a different “twist” to this week’s Do the Local Motion (DTLM) Walking Tour as they offer the 2nd Annual Dance Walk. Downtown gets its groove on with the help of the Y Zumba instructors who will be teaching a few moves to get things going. Music will be spun once again by DJ Shaun and his mobile music machine!
Attendees are urged to wear comfortable shoes, and (comfortably) dress to impress, as they will draw attention along the route. Some of the stops along the way include:
Fort Brooke Y
Tropical Smoothie Cafe for a free sweet treat
And because DTLM and the Tampa Downtown Partnership advocate for safe walking and/or dancing, attendees will be actually taking to the sidewalks as opposed to the streets.
Meet in the center of Lykes Gaslight Square Park, 410 N. Franklin Street
Friday, February 21, 12noon to 1pm
