Impact Health, a physical therapy and sports fitness facility located in Palm Harbor, recently purchased the K-Laser, a new, non-surgical, drug-free treatment option. Impact Health is only the third medical facility in Pinellas County to acquire the K-Laser.
Impact Health client George Etheridge, 57, has chronic back conditions, including arthritis. He experienced immediate improvement after one treatment with the K-Laser.
“The laser helps facilitate a quicker response for my body to bounce back after I play a lot of golf,” said Etheridge. “If I play 10 rounds of golf in Pebble Beach in a week, I’d normally need three to four weeks of rehabilitation afterward. But the laser cuts that recovery time significantly – probably by 50 percent.”
Laser therapy is scientifically proven to biostimulate tissue repair and growth. Red and near-infrared wavelengths create therapeutic effects, such as improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling.
The K-Laser helps Impact Health clients with a number of conditions, including ligament sprains; muscle strains; rheumatoid arthritis; shoulder, back and knee pain; tennis elbow; carpal tunnel syndrome; sports injuries and much more.
“I love to play golf and want to enjoy physical activity,” said Etheridge. “Ongoing therapy – and now this laser – helps me maintain a rigorous, active lifestyle.”
At Impact Health, clients can schedule appointments for only K-Laser therapy, or integrate K-Laser therapy into their regular physical therapy or fitness training program.
“Our clients see the best results when laser therapy is used in conjunction with physical therapy and soft tissue mobilization,” said Joe Millen, PT, MTC, physical therapist and owner of Impact Health. “We’re excited to offer this new service and help our clients reach a better level of health more quickly.”
