– Local Business Group Sees Spike in Membership as Business Owners and Entrepreneurs Seek Ways to Get Ahead of the Curve –
Tampa, Fla. (February 14, 2014) – It’s been a slow process, but economic indicators continue to show that the worst days of the recession may be behind us. And that’s sparking a trend among small business owners and entrepreneurs who are ready to take advantage of the positive outlook. Local business groups like Florida-based Tampa Bay Business Owners (TBBO) are seeing a spike in membership as many business owners look to get ahead of the curve and take advantage of local resources, knowledge and networking opportunities.
“The recession that gripped us for the last few years is the perfect example of survival of the fittest in the business world,” said Chris Krimitsos, co-founder TBBO, “only the smartest, most savvy and strategic business people have been able to ride the economic wave and survive. Now the tide is turning and those people know now is not the time to sit back and relax, it’s time to up their game.”
Interest in his organization is on the rise. “Membership is up and seats at our events are filling up,” said Krimitsos, “One of the most rewarding things about what I do is when I see people realize the value in utilizing local resources and how quickly it puts them on the road to success. We’ve become a society that spends more and more time sitting behind their computers in a virtual world. The truly successful people know that face to face communications and human contact is still the greatest key to success.”
Krimitsos, a successful local business man himself, co-founded of TBBO, a community of local entrepreneurs in 2008. The organization, designed to provide networking opportunities and resources for business owners, has become one of the largest organizations of its kind in the area.
“It’s my passion to help people succeed in business,” said Krimitsos, “My goal now is to spread the word, not only in Tampa but across the country, that now is the time to get in the game. And the best place to start is in your own back yard.”
