St. Petersburg Preservation will look at the history of food in the ‘Burg, from the popularity of cafeterias during the 1920’s boom to the craft beer craze that has helped to push St. Petersburg onto the New York Times list of the best places to visit in 2014. The evening will include a reception with beer tasting and a food sample from the Witches BBQ Den followed by a panel discussion and Q & A session with the best of the ‘Burg’s craft brew people and time for questions from the audience. Craft Beer breweries represented will include Green Bench Brewing, Cycle Brewery, 3 Daughters Brewing and St. Pete Brew. Beer & food will also be available for purchase.
Chris Sherman – Florid Trend food critic and former restaurant critic of the St. Petersburg

“Perspectives” is a program series that looks at the Burg’s important historic and cultural resources. “Perspectives” is sponsored by St. Petersburg Preservation (SPP), the local non-profit dedicated to preserving the best of our past because it is the ‘Burg’s sense of place that makes it such a great place to live and visit! SPP thanks Green Bench Brewing for supporting SPP and in making their renovated historic building available for the program.
