February 14 is a day that can terrify the most resilient romantic. To celebrate or not to celebrate, and to what extreme?
Confusing couples, now there is a solution. Celebrate Dal-entine’s Day with the spots. Dogs, that is. Dalmatians to be specific.
It’s true, place a dog in any situation, and all manner of confusion, terror and “where are we going with this relationship?’ will fall by the wayside. Add a little wine and a lot of chocolate, and you’ll have an evening that won’t soon be forgotten.
There will be plenty to love about this date night, since it is a fundraiser to help homeless dogs. The best part? No reservations are required.
Cappuccino’s Fine Wine and Espresso Bar along with The New Barker dog magazine are co-hosting the benefit for Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay in Downtown Dunedin (or Dogeden, as it is affectionately known to dog lovers). The Yappy Hour Wine Tasting on Friday, February 14 between 7p and 8:30 will help raise much-needed funds for the all-volunteer rescue group and awareness. Dal Rescue, like most rescue groups right now, is in dire need of foster home volunteers, so the fundraiser will serve as a platform to help get out the word. Ambassadogs for the group and adoptables will be at the event.
The wine tasting is $15 per person which includes six wines: three French, three Spanish. Fresh fruit, cheese and crackers will also be served. Fresh-baked desserts (think chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate) by pastry chef Regina will also be on the menu. Fifty percent of the wine tasting proceeds will go to Dalmatian Rescue of Tampa Bay.
