The Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) Foundation received a $7,100 gift from Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union (FCU) Foundation. Additional funds matched by Florida Pre-Paid College Board, will combine with the FCU gift to provide three, full two-year scholarships for students enrolled in PHSC’s Take Stock In Children Program of Hernando County.
The Suncoast Schools FCU Foundation is a vehicle for Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union to support the education, health and emotional well-being of children in the communities it serves through scholarships and contributions to K-12 public schools and other post-secondary education institutions.
Take Stock in Children was established as a non-profit organization in Florida that provides a unique opportunity for deserving low-income youth/students, many from minority families, to escape the cycle of poverty through education. It offers students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life.
