|SARASOTA, Fl.—February 3, 2014— All Faiths Food Bank has received a grant of $25,000 from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to be used for purchasing meat and protein items for local families in need. The gift is from the Season of Sharing Fund, an annual philanthropic fund created by the Herald-Tribune Media Group and the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, supported by generous private, corporate, and foundation donors.

“We are also a ‘nutrition bank’ whenever possible,” said All Faiths Food Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Sandra Frank. “Looking for ways to provide more fresh produce and great sources of protein like meat are a top priority at the Food Bank. Thanks to the funds from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County we will be able to give the families that count on us a more balanced and healthier food selection.”
