FASHIONOLLIA 66 – GFWC TAMPA WOMAN’S CLUB TEAMS UP WITH BRIDGING FREEDOM TO RESTORE STOLEN CHILDHOOODS
Since 1900, the GFWC Tampa Woman’s Club has worked to better the quality of life in the Tampa area by contributing time and funds to a variety of social programs. The Tampa Woman’s Club is a member of the Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, (GFWC) the largest and oldest women’s volunteer organization in the world.
The GFWC Tampa Women’s Club has successfully raised thousands of dollars for charity organizations throughout Tampa for over 65 years via its signature fundraiser, Fashionollia. This year, the Club will partner with Bridging Freedom to put an end to Human Trafficking by helping change the lives of young victims in our community.
All proceeds from this year’s Fashionollia will benefit Bridging Freedom in their effort to build Florida’s first long-term, therapeutic safe home to bring holistic and comprehensive care to rescued children in a safe environment. In addition, Bridging Freedom is developing preventative initiatives through education and awareness to the community in collaboration with local law enforcement.
Fashionollia, an annual luncheon and fashion show, will be held at noon on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at The Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel is located at 4200 Jim Walter Boulevard. In addition to the luncheon and fashion show featuring local celebrities, a silent auction will be held and guests will have an opportunity to shop with local vendors. Last, but not least, one lucky guest will take home a one-carat diamond.
