|New sunny logo will be used on County signs, publications, vehicles & uniforms
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Jan. 30, 2014) – Manatee County Commissioners Tuesday approved a new county logo that will be incorporated on county assets and government-related publications beginning March 1.
No special expenses are required as part of the new County branding. The new logo will be incorporated on letterheads, business cards and county publications. Over time the county logo will replace the familiar explorer ship symbol whenever fleet vehicles, uniforms and facility signs are being re-ordered and updated as part of their routine replacement schedule.
The new logo is the latest in a rebranding project that began when Commission approved a new branding theme for the Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2012. County Commissioners extended the use of that design last January when they moved to rebrand MCAT buses, shelters and benches.
The Board also approved an ordinance Tuesday that makes the familiar explorer ship the official county seal. For many years the symbol has been a de facto seal, but Tuesday’s action will cement the seal for official use beginning March 1.
County vendors and business partners will will be able to download the new sunshine logo on this area of the County website beginning Friday, Feb. 7.
