DADE CITY, Fla. (January 28, 2014) – Saddle up for a good cause! The Pasco Sheriff’s Mounted Posse is holding its sixth annual Ride for Hospice on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16 to benefit Gulfside Hospice.
This fun event takes place back at Diamond B Ranch, located at 21309 Kettering Road in Dade City includes a more than two-hour long trail ride through the ranch starting at 10 a.m. on March 16, cowboy church, wagon rides, visits to the Agriculture Museum, cowboy shooting exhibition and lunch. Camping options are available on Saturday night for a nominal fee and include a bonfire and a short trail ride.
Prizes are awarded to the rider who raises the most money for Gulfside Hospice. All riders must provide their own horse. If you do not have a horse, you can still participate at the event with many activities planned at the ranch throughout the day.
Pre-registration for the event is available now at www.rideforhospice.net. The cost for the event includes:
• Pre-registered before event Rider – $30 for adults and children (all pre-registered riders receive a T-shirt and lunch at the event!)
• Day of Event Registration for Rider (beginning at 8 a.m.) – $35 per participant (lunch included)
• Day of Event Registration for Non-Rider (beginning at 9:30 a.m.) – Free – tickets available for purchase for lunch and other events at the Ride for Hospice
• If you attend Saturday night at the event, you can return Sunday for free!
Children under 16 must wear a helmet, safe riding attire and accompanied by a parent or guardian on the ride. Current negative Coggins must be presented at the gate to take place in the ride.

The Pasco Sheriff’s Mounted Posse has been serving the citizens of Pasco County since 1995. All Posse members must pass and maintain several qualification standards to enable horse and rider to safely work in close contact with the public.
