ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Jan. 28, 2014) — Laura Fontanills, a public relations agency veteran, has joined B2 Communications as senior account executive. With a proven track record and eight years of experience working with clients from a variety of industries, Fontanills adds more upper-level experience to the B2 team.
Prior to joining B2, Fontanills served as the account director of Common Language in St. Petersburg, where she developed and implemented strategic communications plans for clients. Whether helping with the launch of a new product, publicizing the opening of a new healthcare facility or helping position clients as subject matter experts, Fontanills has fostered an extensive list of local and national media stories for clients, while also achieving communications goals via community relations, social media and other public relations efforts.
After graduating from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Public Relations, Fontanills worked with Tampa-based Tucker/Hall, where she worked on strategic corporate communications and public affairs.
Active in the community, Fontanills serves as president of Ekhos, a group of young professional female leaders who support each other in their careers and personal development; and as vice president of High Hopes in High Heels, a Tampa Bay women’s charitable organization. She is also a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay.
Fontanills is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Tampa Bay Chapter, and holds the industry’s esteemed Accreditation in Public Relations (APR).
