SARASOTA, FL – January 2014 – The Sarasota Orchestra announces Jocelyn Stevens as Director of Leadership Giving, and the recent achievements of Joseph McKenna, President & CEO of the Orchestra.
Announcement of Jocelyn Stevens, as Director of Leadership Giving:
Jocelyn Stevens recently accepted the role of Director of Leadership Giving at the Sarasota Orchestra. She is responsible for working with donors on leadership gifts to the endowment as well as legacy or planned gifts to the Orchestra. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts Management from Ithaca College. Her experience includes more than 15 years working with donors on their philanthropy including a leadership position at a Community Foundation.
Stevens comments, “I am thrilled to be back in the arts working with a premier performing arts organization. Music has always played a role in my life having grown up attending concerts at the Philadelphia Orchestra.”
Recent Achievements of Joseph McKenna, President & CEO of the Sarasota Orchestra:
Joseph McKenna, President & CEO of the Sarasota Orchestra, recently completed the 2013 session of Mobilizing Your Nonprofit Board at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and was invited to present at the 2013 BoardSource Leadership Forum in Los Angeles in November. McKenna has been with the Sarasota Orchestra since 2001.

After completing an international search, in 2013, the Sarasota Orchestra announced the appointment of Anu Tali as the fifth Music Director in the Orchestra’s 65 year history. Tali, a native of Estonia, will conduct Masterworks performances and serve as the Music Director for the organization. Each year the 80-member Orchestra performs more than 100 classical, pops and family concerts, and thrives as the oldest continuing orchestra in the state of Florida.
