Two Talking Dogs and One Human Take Over The Mahaffey Stage
ST. PETERSBURG, FL (Jan. 20, 2014) – Comedian and ventriloquist Todd Oliver and his two dog friends Irving and Lucy talk up a storm for a special Saturday, March 1 performance at The Mahaffey Theater at 4 p.m. The trio won a semi-finalist spot on 2012’s America’s Got Talent show.
Tickets are $18 and $25 and will go on sale Friday, Jan. 24 at noon. A special group discount is available.
Todd Oliver grew up (not necessarily in this order) loving dogs, ventriloquism and rock and roll music. He studied piano, guitar, voice and the art of ventriloquism (projecting one’s voice so it appears to come from someone else or an object) and created a few wooden headed characters. He started performing, formed a band called The Smiling Eyes and now tours with them and his dog pals.
His combination of comedy and music tells the viewpoint of life from his two little home-raised companions and also his story of growing up in America. His humor is situational, contemporary and family-friendly.
Tickets are $18 and $25 for Todd Oliver & Friends starring Todd Oliver and The Smiling Eyes and may be purchased online at TheMahaffey.com, charge by phone at 727.893.7832 or in person at The Mahaffey Theater Box Office.
